Robert Farmer, CEO of Concept Communiqués, Inc., has been invited to participate in the “Reality Check First Coast” visioning exercise on Thursday, May 21st, 2009.

This visioning exercise, created by the Urban Land Institute, will bring nearly 300 public, private and non-profit sector leaders together from the seven-county region to begin planning for the year 2060 to accommodate 1.6 million new residents and 650,000 more jobs.

This exercise gives all of us the opportunity to understand the challenges facing our region and the ability to participate in the next steps and how we want our region to grow.

At the Luncheon & Results Session, we will present these results and give attendees the opportunity to share their input by providing electronic interactive preference voting on the region’s guiding principles and scenarios.

The invited participants are from Baker, Clay, Duval, Flagler, Nassau, Putnam and St. Johns counties. Mr. Farmer has been invited to participate in his capacity as President of Third Planet (www.thethirdplanet.org), a non-profit foundation committed to “Engaging the Public and Finding Solutions” for our long-term energy sustainability.

Robert Farmer is an energy engineer and an expert in large-scale integrated energy systems planning. He is also an expert on climate change mitigation. He works with engine and on-site power production companies to develop new combined cooling heat and power (CCHP) and district heating and cooling (DHC) markets.

The event takes place on May 21st at the St. Johns County Convention Center at the World Golf Village, St. Augustine.
